Model: Tapo C210
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

When sharing the camera access with a family member things like pan/tilt are unavailable - error says due to no permissions. But there is no way to grant those permissions to the shared user.

I have seen other threads requesting this feature is added as far back as 2020. E.g https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/220442

The workaround of giving the admin account to each family member is not acceptable.

When is this security vulnerability going to be resolved?

 Hello  @iamBLOATER

Thank you for the feedback, this is a popular feature request and currently still under evaluation. I'd recommend also leaving your comment & suggestion on this thread Tapo C200 / permission calls for a shared device  as well, that will help us organize and share your request with our teams here.

Feel free to share more detailed usage scenario like who would you like to share to and what person will need the Talk/ Voice Pan& Tilt feature or do you think  if adding a toggle of admin authorization to the shared account will help etc., Those  will help us understand better of your request and set priority when this topic being raised with the Product team.
