 Recording Schedule in Step 8 defines a time period when camera records the motion or continuously record the videos into the SD card. 

As of my understanding, Recording Schedule should also apply to AI detection.

Can you share some photos of the Recording Schedule, motion detection settings and photos showing the phenomena? 

Please also confirm your camera and Tapo APP is up-to-date, and let us know your Tapo APP version, please share the MAC address of camera via private message, thank you

If still the same, you may share more case details like a video clip showing there is a person but not trigger the detection at that time. Thanks.

Glad to hear from you, and thanks for the photo. 

The Recording Schedule will only apply for the SD card recording, but not for cloud videos recording.

That means the camera will upload to the cloud whenever camera detects a motion or event.
