Smart plug refusing to connect
Iv been trying to connect my smart plug back to wifi after a reset and it's refusing. The app is stuck at connecting to smart plug after I connect to its wifi ssid. No option to select my wifi . Tried changing the wifi channels and security,from wpa/wp2 psk mixed to wpa2 psk only

If the app does see the Wifi SSID of router when scanning for the Wi-Fi signals. Please try some tips here
Can’t find the Wi-Fi name of the home network.
It is recommended to use 2.4Ghz Wifi channels among channel 1-11.
Ensure kasa device is close to the wifi router.
If still the same, may I know the model of Wifi router, can you share aphoto of the router's Wifi settings, a photo showing the Wifi scanning page in the Kasa APP.

@Solla-topee as I said above the app just get stuck on connecting to device.and after a while just says cannot connect. Iv multiple smart devices that connected no problem and this has worked in the past.so must be a bug in the app..my router is a tp link archer c7 with open wrt firmware

Make sure Kasa APP isup to date, for andriod it should 3.1.10 or 3.0.10
For unable to connect to smart device's Wifi , make sure you tried some tips here
Case 2 Unable to Connect to Your smart device’s Wi-Fi
Do you have a different phone, if so try a different Andriod or IOS device
Make sure VPN or some apps like Lookout, AdGuard is off
turn mobile data off and try again.
Can I know the model of your phone and its OS version, what is the Tapo app version thank you.

@Solla-topee iv only got android devices. I Google play for app updates everyday and no update on the app yet. The version is 3.0.3 build 1098. I tried it on my Amazon fire tablet and same problem . Iv only kasa app not tapo. My phone is a real me x50 5g android version 11.

I shared an APK, an older app with 2.29.x from apk mirror website,you could give that a try and see if that makes any difference.
If that does not work, do you think you can borrow an IOS device to try?

@Solla-topee I downloaded that app and it's forcing me to update it and I don't know any one I could borrow an apple decide.also Im. Not sure when I bought it could be 2020 or 2019
