Update 11/30/2023
Neither Tapo C320WS V1 and V2 support POE. There is currently no POE-supported model in Tapo camera. You can take a look at the Vigi camera if you prefer the POE type.
Functionalities for a product are integrated based on ongoing development plans. New features may be introduced with different models and hardware versions over time.
Product specifications listed on TP-Link's official website offer a comprehensive overview of core features. If you're looking for a specific feature and it's not listed on the website, please consult TP-Link technical support team.

Seriously? You call a version change, the graphics of the packaging? That's weird... Usually the version shows that some upgrades have occured on hardware of a device. Does this mean that the same thing is happening with the different versions of TL-WA860RE repeaters too?

@Arvacon I was on the same boat as you, but i managed to use POE by getting some cheap passive POE injector/splitter pairs.
They seem to be working extremely well, and have tried them with with up to 20m of ethernet so far.
Tested on a couple of c310 and 5-6 c320ws for over half a year now.
I noticed that some kinfs of ethernet cables do not work btw, so keep that in mind.
It seems i cannot post the product link here but you can find them by googling "passive-poe-cable-set"
I am guessing you can find something similar near you.

Can you share a picture of your connection, the passive POE injector you used and its input/output power info here? If the input power by the DC adapter exceeds 12V, the camera will be damaged.
The passive POE is a non-standard form of PoE. When using a passive PoE switch/adapter in a network, the power supply is "always on", which means that regardless of whether the end device supports PoE or not, it always sends current through the Ethernet cable at a certain voltage. Therefore, using a passive PoE switch/adapter that exceeds the voltage supported by the end device may burn the end device.
Again, Tapo Camera does not have the model that supports POE. For the safety of your equipment, we do NOT recommend using any non-standard power supply methods which may damage the device hardware. Product damage caused by this reason will also void the device warranty.

Hey there, @Wayne-TP
Here's a pic of the injector/splitter i'm using
One end i hook up to the camera's ethernet and power input - the other end i connect to my router and the camera's official power supply.
The two parts are connected with an ethernet cable.

@Arvacon W.r.t your question about the differences: I noticed our one cam has a Vehicle Detection feature in AI Detection whereas the other one does not. So I searched for a difference and found the one that does not have this feature is the Ver. 1 cam. And the firmware update to different levels. Ver. 1: 1.3.0, Ver. 2: 1.0.5.

It's probably a new feature added by firmware updates, which doesn't exists at the beginning.

@Arvacon Back to the first part of the question - difference between v1 and v2 have I missed the response?
I have just bought one without realizing there are two versions.
If I knew what the difference was, I may take the v1 back and buy a v2.
Thanks

@Arvacon I just bought two versions without knowing the difference before purchase.
V1.0 -
1. doesn't have vehicle recognition detection type.
2. only draw the intrusion detection area in a rectangular shape.
3. doesn't have separate activity zones setup. different zones, not different activity types.
V2.0
1. can draw detection area in free form
