Good day, I have the same exact issue. Working with a Qnap TS-464 and have 2 Tapo C520WS. The motion detection on the camera is on and working. I receive notifications from the Tapo app, but these motion detections are not being registered by my Qnap. I have the rules set but it never regsiters any motion events. Can you tell me if the update has already been released? If so, what is the software version number? And did the update resolve the issue? Hope you will response and help me get the issue resolved. The update has not been officially released yet.
Supported in 1.2.7 beta.
I am also having trouble because ONVIF motion detection stops working after updating to 1.2.8.

The new firmware(1.2.8 Build 240722) is sent to your camera, you can update the firmware via the Tapo app and check if it helps.
How to update the firmware of the Tapo devices on the Tapo App?

Good day, Thank you so much for looking into it. I received the update like any normal update and was able to start it like normal. After the update finished the problem was resolved immidiatly. Everything else seems to be working like normal too.

Hi, Today i bought a Tado c520 ws. I updated to the latest firmware.
I use this camera with a qnap nas together with qvr elite and qvr pro app.

I have the same isseu as discribed in this topic. I dont recieve motion detections.
Is it possible you send me this latest firmware with the solution to my device?

The current firmware version is 1.2.8 build 240606 rel.39146n

I would be very thankfull.
