Model: Tapo C520WS
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.7 Build 240306 Rel.68340n

TP-Link Tapo app for ios is missing the playback thumbnails even though it is recording on sd card. I tried to use a different sd card, reset, and reboot the camera but the issue still persists. Tapo app ver. is 3.3.503.

  @Seele

Hi,
Thank you for the information provided.
Please note that on the camera's Playback>SD card page, the detection video clip thumbnails will display under the timeline. According to your Detection settings, only Camera Tampering is enabled, so only when the camera detects this kind of event, you can see the corresponding thumbnails under the timeline on the Playback>SD card page.
If you want to watch the video recordings stored on the SD card, you can swipe on the timeline to select a start time.
Best Regards

Hi,
From the provided picture, I can't see there are detection video clips recorded, so no thumbnail appears. Please help confirm the following information for further analysis.

1) Please go to the camera's Device Settings>Detection page and send me a picture of this page.

2) Go to the Storage & Recording> Recording Schedule page and send me a picture of it.

3) If you have enabled the Notification feature on the Device Settings page, can you receive detection notifications when the camera detects events?

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

Please find attached the requested screenshots for Detection page and Recording schedule.

My recording schedule is 24/7 continuous recording only. No detection recording.

In the past, I usually have thumbnails even without any detections. But now, I need to enable some detections in order to have a recorded thumbnails.

And yes, I can receive detection notifications when the camera detects events.
