Model: Tapo T300
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I am currently fitting a couple of T300 sensors and woud like to link these to Alexa/Echo devices to tell me if there is a leak.

Please can someone confirm is the "normal" state "Closed" or "Open"?

I'm assuming an "Closed" is normal (dry) state but I don't like assumptions!

Thanks in adavance.

The state name should be correct. As I understand, water leak sensor is not a supported device type by Alexa. So the T310 is displayed as a sensor with open/closed status, Open: water leak detected, Closed: no water leak detected.

Thanks, perfect.

Yes, Alexa does support T300 as I have got as far as creating the Routine, I just needed to make sure I was using the correct instruction set.

Now all my Echo devices give me a voice warning "Water Leak detected in *area*" and I get a Notification on my phone. yes
