Model: Tapo C500
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.4

I have 4 cams in my house. manly to watch my newborn when he sleeps.

But one issue I keep getting is that my wife and I are using the same account to log in to the Tapo app on our phones.

But sometimes, when one of us is trying to view our cam, we get the message "It look slike you extend your units limit to play this video)

Is there a limit on how many can view a cam? If so, can you push the limit higher?

Hi,
If multiple devices view the Tapo camera at the same time, there are the following three cases:
    1. For remote viewing, there is generally no limit on the number of devices.
    2. For local viewing, typically no more than 3 devices can view the camera live stream at the same time. If any devices are viewing the camera through ONVIF or RTSP protocols, each of those connections will also count toward the local viewing limit.
    3. For viewing videos recorded on the SD Card (no matter remote or local), only one device can access the clips at a given time within the Tapo App.

If you see the prompt "You've reached your device limit for playing this video":
    1. Check how many devices are viewing the camera at the same time, and be careful not to exceed the limit mentioned above.
    2. You can try restarting the camera and then check whether you can watch it.

Best Regards
