Hi there,

I was wondering - does this camera support (and if it does not - which one does) - changing recording duration - to keep recording as long as there is a motion going on?

or if does not - what are the default times?

Is there a cooldown period (if does NOT record for X amount of minutes after the last detection?)

Last question - what is the easiest way to record it on a remote network drive?

Hi,
1. If you have inserted an SD card into the camera to store video recordings, on the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording > Recording Schedule page, you can configure the continuous recording, detection recording, and no recording time.
1) During the time set for continuous recording, the camera will keep recording the videos, no matter if there is a motion going or not.
2) During the time set for detection recording, the camera only records the detected events.
3) During the time set for no recording, the camera won't record anything.

2. If the camera subscribes to the Tapo Care service, its detection video clips can be stored on our cloud server for up to 7/30 days(based on the service the user subscribes to).

3. If you are referring to storing the camera's video recordings to a third-party device(such as NVR/NAS) remotely, if the third-party device supports RTSP/Onvif protocols, you can refer to the instructions below to set up the RTSP/Onvif connection and set the relevant storage settings on the third-party device if it supports.
