Model: Tapo C310
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.11 build 231116

I have almost exactly the same issue as in this thread:

https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/547182

One of the 2 cams is acting as an Access Point, open network

This cam is also wireless connected with my network.

This is very unsecure, and no solution in the thread posted before.

Please help me solve this issue

Hi,
Typically, if the camera is configured successfully via wired or Wi-Fi, the default open Wi-Fi network of the camera won't appear. In this case, you can try the following steps.
    1. Press the reset button on the C310 for 10 seconds to factory reset it.
    2. Wait for two minutes until the camera has a flashing red and green light, then reconfigure the camera. Please set up the wired and Wi-Fi connection if the camera connects to the router by an ethernet cable. You can set up the Wi-Fi connection only if the camera does not have an ethernet cable inserted.
    3. Ensure the camera's firmware is the latest one.

If the problem remains, please confirm the following info.
1. Send me(@Solla-topee) the camera's MAC address via a private message.
2. Go to the phone's Settings > Wi-Fi page to check if the default SSID of the camera can be connected or not.
3. Check the LED status on the camera.

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

I have multiple issue with this specific camera. Also the on-screen timestamp won't appear.

The camara is configured succesfully, but it just can't happen that an fully open network appears.

The camara is also connected to my internal lan.

Reset or no reset, this just can't happen and is a major security flaw.

I decided to return this camera.

Thanks for you support.

Hi,
Normally, the default SSID of the Tapo C310 won't appear after you set it up successfully if it has the latest firmware. Your problem phenomenon is abnormal, so I suggest factory resetting the camera and reconfiguring it for a try.
However, if you decide to return this camera, I'll respect your decision.
Best Regards
