  • The doorbell is hardwired-powered and set to Always On mode

 

 

Description

When Tapo doorbell is set to Doorbell Mode in Night Mode Settings (doorbell Device Settings page > Video & Display > Night Mode Settings), the spotlight will turn on automatically when someone rings the doorbell and turn off automatically when no movement is detected (enter infrared mode).

 

However, if your doorbell is one of the model mentioned above and meets the specified conditions, you might encounter an issue where the spotlight fails to turn off automatically and stays on continuously.

 

Workaround

The issue has been identified and will be addressed in upcoming firmware updates.

 

In the meantime, a beta firmware with the necessary fixes is available for community users to test. If you would like to apply the beta firmware, send a mailprivate message to @Wayne-TP with the following information:
