Urgent Support Needed for Retrieving Video Files from TAPO C500
Hi,
I am writing to seek urgent assistance regarding my TAPO C500 camera.
Last night, an unfortunate incident occurred where some people broke into the premises, damaged property, and cut the wires of the installed cameras. Fortunately, the camera itself was not tampered with, and I was able to retrieve the memory card.
However, I am facing the following issue:
On the memory card, I can see MP4 recordings only up to 8:00 p.m., but the incident happened later in the night.
I strongly believe the camera was still on at that time, so the recordings should exist.
What I found instead are files with the .pic extension, which I am unable to open or convert.
I have tried accessing them on both Mac and Windows using different players (including PotPlayer) and also attempted conversion with FFmpeg, but none of these worked.
It seems these .pic files may be raw video data that the camera has not finalized into MP4 format. Could you please guide me on how to properly retrieve and convert these .pic files into a playable video format so I can access the incident footage?
This matter is extremely urgent given the nature of the event, and your immediate support will be highly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance.
