@Boman Have you checked if the router's System Log gives any clues as to why the internet connection drops?

@Nick2019 Have you already tried to set the "Internet Port Negotiation Speed" to a fixed mode, instead of "Auto Negotiation"? Perhaps even try 100 Mbps if 1000 Mbps doesn't work.
