Same problem for me - the red zones make no difference at-all to the detection - I always get a notification and recording regardless of what zones I have set

I've been running a trial version of the app which solves the problem. Not sure when it's due to go GA on the Play/Apple stores though.

Two cameras on my setup - both show a green bar across the top of the image in 720p mode, but fine in 2K QHD. See attached screenshot. This applies in both live stream, and recorded video.
