IPv6 Setup for OpenDNS
Model : Archer C1200
Hardware Version : 2.0
Firmware Version : 2.0.2 Build 20180117 rel.70858 (US)
ISP :
Hi! I would greatly appreciate your help with the following two issues involving my Archer C1200.
I have entered the OpenDNS DNS addresses into the IPv6/Advanced/Advanced primary and secondary DNS fields, then saved the entries and rebooted the TP-Link router. IPv6 tests using different websites indicate that my network does not yet have an IPv6 address.
A second issue is that the TP-Link firmware will accept OpenDNS's non-filtering address (2620:0:CCC::2), but I receive an error message when entering the filtering addresses, which are ::ffff:d043:dede and ::ffff:d043:dcdc. The longer formats, 0000:0000:0000:0000:ffff:d043:dede and 0000:0000:0000:0000:ffff:d043:dcdc, also generate error messages.
Thank you for your time and assistance!
Bob
