Ax11000 dropping 2.4ghz every other day
Every other day 2.4 wireless drops until the router is restarted. Everything connects back fine after reboot. 5ghz has no issues. Using latest firmware. Any ideas?
Using smart connect I cannot specify a channel. I really dont want to turn that off and have 3 ssid's.

@Mystiky Because I'm lazy. I have a lot of custom settings, like port forwarding and assigned ip addresses.

@shaywood Save your settings to a file, and restore them after the reset. I had heavily configured my AX11000 (including port forwarding, reserved LAN IP addresses and MAC address name mappings), and set up a replacement in less than 5 minutes by restoring the settings from a file.

@MartinKnutson great idea. I did the upgrade, but didn't think about reinstalling the configuration since it wasn't changing.

@shaywood ... I too have ~ 50+ 2.4Ghz smart home devices as well as a very large number og 5Ghtz devices using the router. I had the same problem up until the beta code came out. When running the Beta firmware I had 0 issues with 2.4 just stopping working. I recently upgraded the firmware to the latest ( 1.1.1 Build 20200716 rel.84595(5553) ), noticing one of the bug fixes was in regard to what looked like the issue with the 2.4Ghz band. While running on this latrest firmware, within a couple days the 2.4Ghz again dropped all my devices running on that band. I have not yet tried a backup of my current configuration then a factory reset as some are suggesting, but hope that will eliminate the issue. If not I am really hoping I can reinstall the BETA Code. I plan to do the factory reset later and then fingers crossed the issue is actually resolved in this new release of the firmware.
@HERE .... Has anyone who actually factory reset and restored there settings had the issue return?

@samadril following to see you're successful returning to beta. I was unable to using the firmware update option. Maybe a 30-30-30 reset might work.

So this issue reoccured for me today at the worst possible time with 4 people home either working or doing school remotely
so i figured if i was rebooting, might as well take the latest firmware
ive since rebooted and we'll see how stable it stays, but hoping it is resolved as this is annoying

Wanted to chime in here to say I have the 2.4Ghz issue as well. I am on the latest firmware (1.1.1). I have tried various different bands unsuccessfully. Just turned on smart connect to see if that works any better. Pretty disappointed since I specifically purchased this router in the hopes that it would be able to handle all my smart home devices.

@chaples55 did you try the beta firmware?

No, not yet. I tried flashing it over 1.1.1 but it failed. Haven't tried the 30-30-30 reset that people are mentioning. I figured I'd give that a go if/when 2.4Ghz dies again.
