Hi all

I am having issues with connection between my Alienware R3 15 and my Archer C1200. I have done two full factory resets on the laptop, and reset the modem multiple times, they just are not compatible right now. I am able to open certain websites, but most websites bounce back with a connection error. Note, I do not have this issue with my main Desktop PC, my Phones, or any of my other devices. I am also able to use it fine on any other network that isnt using a TP-Link.

It appears as if there is a compatibility problem between Killer Network Adapter and TP-Link. My Adapter is: Killer(R) Wireless-AC 1550 Wireless Network Adapter (9260NGW) 160MHz and is built into the Alienware.

Any assistance would be fantastic.

@Gymson

Are you able to ping the website IP address through the command console?

I am able to ping the website IP through CMD fine, no issues with that.

On the problem computer modify the propeties of your network adapter to use different DNS servers. Even though the other devices work fine, try a couple of other servers. If ping works, then there might be a issue resolving the names.

@Tony

I gave it a go with 5 different DNS servers, both for IPv4 and IPv6, however this didn't help. Some sites are still unable to connect, and others are fine.

If you compare trace routes from two different computers do they look the same?

Going back to your original state about the killer adapter, that had to do with the older Archer C7s where they would completely crash. In your case the router is working for the most part, but just some variable we are missing.
