Model: Archer BE800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.6 Build 20240808 rel.26673

Hello,

I've had the router for about a year. It has been working superb and with no issues.

However, since the new firmware dropped and I updated the firmware, I'm having insability and speed drop issues with wifi, especially on my mobile devices.

I have tried to factory reset, I have tried to restart. I have set the router to restart every night at 1:00 AM. But still the problems are there. I want to revert back to the previous firmware but don't know if this will solve the issue or not or is it even possible to downgrade a firmware or not.

Please address this issue.

Thank you.

  @Taftak

There are some firmware upgrades that you can not go back to a previous version. The warning is in the information for the firmware update.

Most times there is a way to put in a previous version but varies a bit by some models. Best to contact support directly for the procedure and where to get the firmware.

In the past I have downloaded the firmware to my PC, disconnect from the internet, connect the router direct to a PC, and load the firmware. But that was 10 years or more ago and thinges do change.

  @ArcherC8

Thank you for the help and recommendation. I think i must wait for the next update top drop.

The problem especially is worse when you connect to the MLO network. I've tried to keep the 2.4 and 5 GHz AC ope and also the 6E. it seems more stable but still I have problem with instability.

  @Taftak If you want, give the beta firmware a try that they posted the other day.  It has MLO improvements and you can go back to the public build if you don't like it.  I am using it and has been working good for me.
