Implemented Add whitelisting to Decos
I have setup a couple of mesh networks using Deco's (mostly M5's) as a couple of locations. The one major deficiency is the lack of whitelisting (by MAC Address) support. Weirdly enough, the Deco's support blacklisting (by MAC Address). Adding whitelisting would be a major security enhancement.

This is not an avialable feature as we know. We will add it to our feature request page and send it up to our software and design team though.

@Carl I've seen whitelisting by MAC address requested for the Deco products in postings going back a couple of YEARS. To TP-LINK: this is a BASIC capability that vendors have included in WiFi access points for many years. PLEASE include a whitelist feature in your next release. Blacklisting only is worthless.

We will send it up again but to reitterate we cannot gaurantee any request will come to be. As it is the Deco and Mesh in generally were not designed the same way that traditional router are. MAC address control list were not part of the orginal design because traditionally they were used for devices who were allowed to access the router. Yes in some cases they have transitioned to Access through the network but with Deco Access to the interface is determined by who is listed at a manager and owner. Unless your TP-Link ID cloud account has this distinction you cannot access the interface. For Devices that are allowed to access yes a white list would be better because it stops anyone who is spoofing to not get access.
If we do hear anything back we will make it an official annoucement.

I just bought 4 x Deco M4 which I'll probably be returning as no whitelist feature. This is almost standard on every AP or router today. Major deficiency which I'm sure could be easily added through FW uprade.
