Hello everyone,

 

I just got my AX20 Archer AX1800 today (Hardware Version: Archer AX20 v1.20, and Firmware is up to date) but when I use the Ethernet using Cat 6 cable it only gives me around 250 Mbps where my full speed from my Fiber plan is 1 Gbps.

That's not even 30% of the full speed!!!

 

Also, wireless connection using iPhone 11 PRO gives me higher speed than wired connection but still not even 40% of the full speed.

 

I got around 300 Mbps using the iPhone 11 pro with:

 

5Ghz

Channel Width: 80 HMz (the highest)

Channel: 157 

Mode: 802.11a/n/ac/ax Mixed

 

Internet Connection Type: Dynamic IP.

Internet Port Negotiation Speed Setting: 1000Mbps Full Duplex. 

 

Both wired and wireless speed are way slower than they should!

 

Any suggestions?

Are you using QOS?  If so, disable it and reboot the router.  QOS is really only needed for lower bandwidth services like those below 300 Mbps.  In some cases due to chipset it can actually hamper the performance of the router.  While I do not know if that is the case here please try this and let us know the results.

No. QoS is not enable, I'm not using it.

Did you get the rated speeds on your old router? By chance are you using a VPN as that affects speed also. Be sure you are using Cat 5e or Car 6 Ethernet cable. Even so, try a different Ethernet cable.

Hey,

I have the exact same issue (going crazy over it)

the thing is it's happen only on my Apple TV's (have 2)

it started when I switched to the Archer ax20!

any advice that you can give me?

I have the same problem...package is 500mbps but getting 200mbps.. but when i use ISP provided router i get 480mbps (wired)..
