Hi, I just upgraded from Deco M5. I was wondering why the network optimization feature is not available for Deco X20?

Did you search for updates in the Deco app? The network optimization feature is in the latest version.

@jeushyun When I use the App to update it says
Your Deco Home Wi-Fi System is currently up-to-date. Enjoy!
Deco X20
new Firmware Version
v1.0.9 Build 202110607.
I don't have the optimization feature that I can find.

Hi, I guess you have Deco X20-V2?
If yes, currently, the latest firmware for V2 is 1.0.9 which has not added the network optimization.

Why? is it not needed on v2 devices? what is the reasoning for the difference?

Hi, It is needed on the V2 as well and good news, a new firmware has been released which adds this feature.
Modifications and Bug fixes:
1. Improved backhaul stability and 2.4Ghz wireless stability.
2. Fixed the bug that the client list might be empty or incomplete under certain circumstances.
3. Added a feature called "Network Optimization" which could optimize Deco's wireless channel.

Why is this firmware not available as an official upgrade from the support pages? I tried to load this one but nothing happened, the firmware didn't update and the version is still: X20(2.0) fw version 1.0.3 Build 20210205 Rel. 35873.
