Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hi,

Previously I had tp link Archer router and reolink Nvr Camera system working perfectly.

Since I installed Deco M9 plus instead of archer, as soon as I connect nvr Camera system to network switch or directly to deco, the deco mesh network goes off line. Deco goes online only when I disconnect camera nvr .

I have the following setup:

Modem -> tp link switch -> #1. Deco main router #2. Reolink camera nvr system

Somehow Reolink Nvr connects to internet in Dhcp mode only and it worked perfectly with Tp Link Archer router. I don't understand why it causes deco to go offline.

Please advice what settings I can change to make it work with camera nvr and avoid network conflict.

@Matrix11229

Hi, could you please try to update the firmware to be the latest one first:

Deco M9 Plus(US)_V2_1.5.1_210126

The firmware upgrade utility:

https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/deco-m9-plus/#Utility

 And as for the network diagram,  I guess the ISP modem is a modem and router combo? and can I have its model number?

May I also know the model number of the current TP-Link switch as well as the previous TP-Link Archer router?

For the Deco M9 Plus, did it work on the access point mode?

Thank you very much.

@TP-Link

Thanks for update link

I was able to update to 1.5.1 firmware but the problem is unchanged with conflict.

The isp modem is from Verizon (not combo) and doesn't have router function.

I'm using TP Link TL-SG105 Switch . However, the conflict was present even by plugging the Reolink NVR directly into Deco.

The previous router that has no conflict with nvr is TP-Link Archer C7 (AC1750)

Deco M9 Plus is working in Router mode. I haven't tried the access point mode since the camera NVR is located next to Main Deco unit and modem.

Thanks for your help

@Matrix11229

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

If Verizon modem does not have router function, I am quite curious why the TL-SG105 was between the modem and Deco M9  since there would only be one port available for internet service in that way;

Have you tried to connect the Deco M9 Plus directly to the Verizon modem and connect the switch to the second port of M9 plus?

Then connect the NVR to TL-SG105 again, such as Verizon modem--<cable>Deco M9 plus---<cable>TL-SG105--Reolink NVR;

And Just one more thing, the Reolink NVR is capable of both Ethernet connection and wireless connection, the previous conflict with Deco M9 plus happened to both wireless and Ethernet connection, right?

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.
