AX1800 VPN Client
I'm trying to use the Client VPN section to connect to ProtonVPN via OpenVPN on my AX1800. I've entered my credentials and uploaded the configuration file, however it just stays on "connecting" when I try to connect. Are there any guides or advice here to help me? Thanks!

@vyts, after randomly searching for a solution for this again, I found a forum post that was updated after my previous support case that says this is in fact supported on this router. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/272492
So because of that, I opened a new case and referenced that link. They provided me with beta firmware ax1800-v1.20-1.3.1-20210817 which resolved the issue.

Looks like the latest firmware update fixes this issue. Updating firmware and redownloading OpenVPN configs works as expected now.

@mjheaberlin Same here. Did you ever figure it out?
I'm using OpenVPN configurations from PIA. They work with OpenVPN Connect, and they don't on my AX1800. Nothing in the logs even though I raised the log level. Status continues to show "connecting".

@vyts I did not. Wasn't able to get help from Proton nor TP link. TP link kept talking about setting up a VPN server and eventually told me VPN Client was not supported. Not sure why it's even an option then, but whatever.

Hi, can you please check the information in the below thread if the VPN Client is not working on the Archer AX1800?

I've done both steps. The config file is small and I can make it work locally on my mac. I'll submit a ticket as requested later today.
