Model: Archer AX50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 20217030 rel 54485 (5553)

Has anyone with a router using wifi 6 or 802.11ax having problems connecting to a Roku? I'd did a bit of looking around and from what I can tell on the latest Fire Stick has the capability of accessing wifi 6. Any thoughts?

I ended up changing it from "802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed" to "802.11a/n/ac mixed" and it corrected the problem. But it didn't work right away. I had changed this setting a few days ago and nothing. I changed it again today, at it worked. Whatever, at least the Roku is working again.

@Biergarden

Can I have the model and specific version of the Roku / Fire Stick? Which wireless frequency did you change the mode, 2.4G or 5G? If you leave it as "802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed", was the Roku / Fire Stick unable to connect? Was there an error message?

@Kevin_Z  THe Roku is a 3900x and I used the 2.4g signal. It's working since I removed the ax frequency from the router. Oddly the Roku didn't recognize it immediately, it took a few days to pick it up.

@Biergarden

Thanks for the follow-up. Glad to know that changing the wireless mode from "802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed" to "802.11a/n/ac mixed" for the 2.4G network helped, we will keep an eye on this kind of feedback also, and try to dig out what is the root cause about it.

BTW, I also find online that there is some feedback that the Roku devices have some issue with connecting to a network, and the suggestions provided by the owners would be trying disabling the Wi-Fi Direct on the Roku device, which may help.
