Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 build 20210204 Rel. 50164

I have some clients that will not connect to the wifi if I have WPA3 + WPA2-PSK [AES] selected, but will connect fine if I select WPA2-PSK [AES]  only. This seems to be a bug that needs a firmware fix.

Anyone else notice this?

@BigW3260

Hi, the ticket ID is #TKID211231250 and I sent it again.

Could you please check again whether you could get the email, maybe in the junk mail?

Thank you very much.

@BigW3260

Hi, What are the clients that cannot connect to Wi-Fi if both WPA3 + WPA2-PSK [AES] are selected and May I have their model numbers?

By the way, would there be any error message when they failed to connect to Deco?

@TP-Link One of the clients is a Logia weather station. It's model number is LOWSC510SWB. It will connect with no problem if I put it in WPA2-PSK [AES] only or WPA2-PSK [AES] + [TKIP], but will fail to connect if I run WPA3 + WPA2-PSK [AES]. The other is WINX air cleaner model AM90. Neither device has a way to see errors. I just see them flashing trying to connect.

@BigW3260 Hello, I have the same issue; when I set the network to WPA3 + WPA2, my Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Also my Insignia NS-CSPGASP Google Assistant randomly loses wifi connection... but if I downgrade to WPA2, both work fine.

I have a 3 device TP-Link AX3600. Please advise.

@Paceman

This is what I got back from TP-Link....

This is because WPA2-WPA3 encryption and simple WPA2 encryption use different packets.

We use the standard WPA2-WPA3 packet, some devices produced earlier may not use the standardized protocol and are not compatible with this encryption
