Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.5.7 Build 20210819 Rel. 43499

It seem there is a typo in deco speed when viewing them on web browser. Speed should be Mb/s not MB/s. Cause MB is different with Mb, Hopefully a minor bug like this can be fixed. Image below shows it.

@MrKeiKun

Hi, thank you for the feedback.

I think it might be a speed typo.

Have you checked the current speed rate on the Deco APP as well and it is only 207MB/S?

Was it just one Ethernet client or did all the clients show xxx MB/s?

If just this device, may I know its model number?

It would be highly appreciated if you could send some screenshots of the speed rate on different clients.

Thank you again.

@TP-Link
Hey! There's no way that my internet speed reaches such 200MB/s. My internet connection here is around 200Mb/s download which is around 25MBs and 300Mb/S which is around 38MB/s. So yeah i think this is a typo bug when accessing the web interface of the deco.

@MrKeiKun

Thank you for the quick reply.

So is it only one device with “MB”, not the other clients?

And how about the speed rate on the Deco APP?

@TP-Link After checking with the App on my iOS Device it looks fine. Also this is on all devices not just that particular device. Here's a screenshot of it while taking a download speed test.Mbps or Mb/s is the correct one.

@TP-Link

Hey. Maybe also consider making the column, connection, more specific with wired connection. Instead of just Wired, maybe consider also the following:

  • Wired (10Mb/s)
  • Wired (100Mb/s)
  • Wired (1Gb/s)
  • Wired (2.5Gb/s)

since you guys are adding a feature regarding a prompt when the Ethernet link rate goes down to 100Mbps...

6. Added a prompt when the Ethernet link rate goes down to 100Mbps.

Note: Deco M5 supports a maximum link speed of 1000Mbps, but due to the quality of the Ethernet cable, the link speed of the connected device, the flow control, and power-saving settings, etc., the link speed can sometimes drop to 100Mbps or even 10Mbps. This can affect your download and upload speed if your bandwidth is more than 100Mbps. After installing firmware 1.6.0, you will receive a prompt in Deco App when the Ethernet link speed is not 1000Mbps.

Which said here will only prompt on Deco App. Which won't be prompted on Web version of it.

What you think?

@MrKeiKun

it would be a good idea.

I will note it down first and check if more users have the same option.

Thank you very much.
