@geoB

On my AX1800 V1.26 the firmware 1.3.5 Build 20211231 rel.64080(5553) is running fine so far today. Just downloaded it a couple of hours ago.

@rick2000 Got it. Given the intermittent nature of the issue, tho', I won't be convinced it's fixed for quite a while. At least 30 days, since that would be longer than the router has gone without failure so far.

@geoB

I hear ya. I figured if this new official firmware turns out to be problematic I could revert to the beta, which worked with no problems for many hours.

@Kevin_Z While I am rock-solid on my internet connection since installing the beta firmware, I am still getting fairly consistent drops from my work VPN. Prior to this issue, I would rarely (if ever) get a drop. It is happening multiple times a day still. Granted, this could just as well be on my work's side. I'll email in my log just in case.

@Kevin_Z

Hello Kevin_Z.... thank you for your help on this forum.  Question:  I am seeing posts about the released version of the firmware now being available.  I am sure if I go to my web GUI administration page I will find it there, but I hesitate to do so before I see it in the downloads section of the website.  For my AX20, Ver 1.26, that would be:  https://www.tp-link.com/us/support/download/archer-ax20/#Firmware.  The latest there still shows as AX20(US)_V1.2_210901, Published date of 2021-11-03.  The reason I would like to wait until it shows at the download site and not just through the GUI interface is because I like reading about the full description of the release, both New Features/Enhancements and, in particular, bug fixes.  Since I am rolling along fine with the beta firmware uploaded at this time, I will just wait until I see the released version on the downloads section of the website.  Thank you.

@Kevin_Z

Previously installed firmware 6/15/2021 V1.2_210521 did not experience any issues. After recently updating our AX21 v1.26 to the 11/22/2021 firmware V1.2_210901, we began experiencing random disconnects from the modem. Both wireless and LAN connections would cease to function although no errors from modem itself. Cable modem is an Arris SB6183. Would only resolve with a power cycle of router.

I then attempted a factory reset and reconfig in attempt to resolve. Connection was stable for a few days before connection losses became even more frequent, requiring a power cycle of the router to restore connection.

Started searching here yesterday, and came across this thread. Very happy to see a proactive beta firmware available. Whilst planning to perform the beta install today after work, was pleasantly surprised to see a new firmware 1.3.5 Build 20211231 rel.63562 now available through the modem's built-in firmware update feature. (Not available via direct download on product support page at this time.) I updated and currently running it now.

Thank you for actively working to address this issue. Will write again if disconnects resurface or after a number of days without issue to confirm update is working well. (Appx 1 week)

Much appreciated!

Hello @FloriDUH_JBot, how do you connect to the VPN? Do you set up the VPN Client on the AX3200? What kind of VPN server you are connecting to? Please check if you can get a stable VPN connection if you directly connect to the VPN server on the local computer or phone by installing a VPN Client software. This needs to be confirmed first as we are not sure if this caused by the VPN server or the VPN session between the server and the client.
