Hey, I have weird problem, I setup my network and assign deco IP's at DHCP, but now one of them are just swapped mac address and took DHCP new IP

 

 

 

This is how I config it: they had nice IP's 192.168.1.11   .12    .13  and everything worked short time

But yesterday I noticed:

its small thing... but that drives me crazy, why it cannot keep same mac address and I cant even chance it because devices are in AP mode :D

 

 

 

edit: its always the "main" deco that goes rogue

  @zaleopard Thank you very much for the feedback.

As for the remote management issue you have followed in the other post, I am afraid there is still no plan to disable the remote access on the Deco.

It allows users to manage Deco anywhere they want, which is a very convenient feature for network products since you could easily know what has happened to your homework.

 

As for the address reservation issue, after confirming with the senior engineers, the MAC address of Deco would not randomly change.

And it is suggested to manually input the MAC address on the product label when reserving IP addresses for Deco units, instead of choosing from the online DHCP list of the main ISP router.
