Deco X55 Ethernet port
I use 1 of the 3 ports on the X55 to deliver a 1GB connection from router.
I then use one of the other 2 ports to drive my PC, hoping to get a 1GB ethernet connection - but to my surprise it only delivers 515MB from that port. If I connect directly to my router I get the full 1GB (980GB).
Are these not 1GB ports?
Also my wifi from the Deco55 goes to only 308GB while direct from my router the wifi gets up to 338GB (for these test they are placed one next to the other).
Do you guys have similar numbers ?
Do you know how to improve these numbers?

Welcome to the community.
Here are some suggestions for you:
1. Please go to Deco APP>HomeShield>Prioritize your devices and make sure the QOS is disabled or set to 1000/1000 M/s.
2. Turn off the 2.4ghz on the Deco and check the wireless speed of 5ghz again.
3. Turn off the UPNP under Deco APP>More>Advanced.
While if the speed had no improvement, could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com(please add the forum ID544792) with the following information:
1. May I know who is your internet service provider and how about the model number of your cable modem?
2. Please add some screenshots of the speedtest on the PC when it is wired to Deco X55 and please also help me check the link speed on the Ethernet connection.
3. The wireless 5ghz speedtest result and the wireless link speed as well.
So that I could forward your case to the senior engineers for further assistance.

QOS and UPNP setting solved the X55 wired 1GB ports.
disabling 2,4 Ghz yields no changes/improvements.
What is the expected Wifi when feeding the Deco X55 1GB of wired internet ?

Hi, For the wireless speed, it might depend.
Deco X55 is capable of Wi-Fi 6(the maximum link speed of 5Ghz is 2402 Mbps), and if your client is Wi-Fi 5 only(Link speed-866m/s on 5ghz), the wireless speed could reach 500-600m/s from the main Deco.

My desktop testing images are attached (433 MB/s your way, 303MBps using bandwidth testing).
I also including few images showing my phone (galaxy s20).
- using bandwidth test - 481 Mbps
- deco that reports it uses 5G
- A read from the phone wifi that reports on 960Mbps
I had to zip these 4 images since i was allowed to attach one file only
Thank you

Hi, for the laptop, I think the speed is ok since the link speed on the computer is only 433m/s.
On the Galaxy S20, the speed should be a little more about 600-700m/s and I see the link speed is only 960m/s, how far is it from the smartphone to the main Deco X55?
Maybe you could test it again about 10 feet away?
And have you tried to test the speed via SpeedTest APP, not the website? and also change a different speed server?
Thank you.
Best regards.
