Model: Deco E4  
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.5.4

I have a Deco E4R and did the recent firmware update. Now it will not connect to the M3W. Any suggestions? I have reset it, moved it, etc, but it will not be found. This is the first time this has happened. 
 

firmware 1.5.4 build 20211101 rel. 75384

Would there be any error message when Deco M3W failed to link Deco S4?

Can I have some pictures or a small video clip about the setup process?

Hi, there isn’t an error message. When using the app for the D4 to find the M3, it just keeps searching and eventually says cannot find another Deco to connect to. The M3 has all lights on and they will not go off. I have tried resets, did a total reset of the both items, and nothing.

Thank you very much for the update.

It seemed like Deco M3W had not been fully reset before setup again.

Could you please use a pin/pen to hold the reset pinhole for 1s--then the light will be:

power light flashing white>>signal light turns from red to white, other lights white on>>only power light flashing, other lights go off>power light solid on white

Hi David- I have tried that multiple times. All the lights remain on. I have unplugged the whole unit, pushed the reset for a second and multiple seconds, did a complete of the whole network, gone through the whole setup, and nothing changes.

Hi, Thanks for the fast response.

I got the impression before that the reset button on Deco M3W is kind of hard to reach when you hold the pinhole and that might be the problem.

Could you please try to press the pinhole from different angles to see whether it would make any difference?

At the same time, I will follow up on your case by email in case the warranty service is required and please check whether you could get an email later.

I’ve done it many times, including again. I can feel the click from the reset getting pressed but nothing changes.
