Deco M9 Plus Ethernet backhaul issue
I recently purchased M9Plus and plan to use wired Ethernet to connect all 3 units. But when I try to connect it via ethernet, the units go down in a minute and shows no Internet in Deco app. I tried to remove the switch and just connect Deco 1 and 2 via ethernet cable and 3rd using wireless but again the system goes down in a minute showing no internet. Decos work fine when all units connected via wireless backhaul. I have configured all deco as Operation mode = router. I have upgraded to latest firware and same problem. What could be the issue? See pic below. I thought switch could be the issue so I removed switch and connected Dec and 2 via direct ethernet cable and deco 3 via wireless. Same issue, system goes down within a minute. Can someone help identifying the issue? Thanks you.

Hi, there should be no problem with "option 2".
On "option 2", when APP reported no internet, would the main M9 go red? or any Deco go red?
May I know the model number of your cable model?
By the way, who is your internet service provider?
Best regards.

In both options all 3 Decos go Red. I am using FIOS ethernet (no cable modem or coax), Ethernet coming to house from FIOS NIC. 100Mb connection not Gigabyte etc.

3150522Hi, I had similar problems, backhaul and somtimes loosing wifi connections. I had multiple TP-Link switches, all of them TL-SG105E, and they are all configurable. That was the problem, backhaul and wifi without any problems disconnecting the TP-Link switches and as I now know the switches should be configured in a special way in order for them to work in connection with Deco M9 Plus, at least so it is in my case. Although using the stated example in Deco FAQ:s using configurable switches like TL-SG105E I gave up and replaced all the TP-Link switches with cheaper and more simple ones, and voila(!), now backhaul works like a charm and no wifi drop-outs.
Maybe this will help you. Good luck.

I am testing option II ie without a switch just connect first deco to ISP and second Deco via ethernet from first one (no switch involved), same issue. The switches are fine as they work fine with my existing non mesh Asus router.
