Hello all,

I have a 50 (down) / 18 (up) connection speed to my ISP.

 

The "Total Bandwidth" set to 18.00 Mbps upload/ 50.00 Mbps download in QoS settings.


I have a single "High Priority" device set in Deco app - my television called "LGwebOSTV":

If I begin a download on my desktop PC, it uses 50mbps of download and attempting to stream movies on the television is unstable. 

 

Furthermore, when looking at my Deco network, Deco app reports my desktop PC using constantly ~25mbps, however download reported on desktop is 50mbps constantly. The sum total of the download speeds does not equal 50. It is as if Deco believes it is throttling the desktop to 20mbps, however at no stage does it do so. I have added screenshot of desktop downloading constantly at 50mbps which is double what is reported in Deco app. At no point does desktop dip down to 20mbps as shown in screenshot. 

 

Regardless, it makes no sense for TV to be buffering with 2.6mbps download while desktop consumes "26.9" mbps, even though this figure is incorrect.

It seems there is a fault with the QoS where Deco believes it is throttling a device, thus providing surplus bandwidth for high priority device - however, it is not doing so. I have tried restarting the Deco and restarting the desktop PC without luck.

Furthermore I have tested setting the QoS to an incorrect download setting.

 

When setting the download limit in QoS to 15mbps, the desktop on Deco app reports downloading at 6.4Mbps but is actually downloading (as verified by downloading a file of certain size over measured time) 25mbps. 

There is something odd occuring in this behaviour.
