The TP-Link site for the AXE300 state that connection notifications are an option on this router.  I am not seeing any of that within the tether app or the router interface itself.  Please advise.

Yes, AXE300 does support connection notifications. You can see my Tether app settings:

Intersting...Tether doesn't show Reports or Notifications.  Just removed and readded the app to make sure it wasn't a bad install
