My TL-WR802N will NOT connect to my host router in client mode; it won't get an IP address and in the logs, see a bunch of this:

1970-01-01 00:03:06 [5] DHCPC: Discover DHCP service failed!

It seems rolling back to an older firmware fixed this.

This worked on my Asus RT-AC3100 router no problem, but then I upgraded to an Asus RT-AX8600, and no go. Nothing I can do will make it work, even tried ordering a new unit. 

I want to be able to bridge my wifi network to a low-requirement hard-wired device.
