Archer AX55 V1 Firmware 1.2.2 Build 20230511 dropping internet daily
Received a notification of new firmware and updated to 1.2.2 Build 20230511 5 days ago. Since then we have had loss of internet at the router 4 times over 4 days. In my troubleshooting I noticed that when I tried to login to the router to check status, it presented the login, accepted pass but would never load the interface. Speeds are normal and ping to router is 1ms so seems the connection is good. The problem seems to be at the router itself.
Has anyone else had a similar issue with connections since upgrading to this firmware? It is the only change that has been made and never had this issue prior. I wanted to get some input prior to reverting the firmware.

1. CenturyLink Fiber and using Dynamic IP on the AX55.
2. Yes, I have 1 RE605X and it is connected to the AX55.
3. Unfortunately, I don't remember the previous stable version.
4. The internet light will be green before it fails completely and then turns off. As the wireless clients are being dropped and the light is still green, I am unable to get into the Tether or web management page.

Hi, I am also having the same issue with my AX55 since updating to 1.2.2. firmware. Zero issues prior to this update.
For several days now, I wake up to find out the router has dropped the connection overnight and requires a physical reboot to re-establish the connection.
1. I have Spectrum cable internet in California. Router is configured with 2.4 and 5 ghz on unified SSID. Pretty much default settings for everything.
2. I am using one (1) RE315 extender, configured for OneMesh. The extender is running latest firmware.
3. The AX55 was on the latest version of firmware prior to 1.2.2 update.
4. I checked this morning and the internet light was orange and the others were green.
When I wake up to these incidents, I can still connect to my SSID from the extender, but there is no internet connection. The AX55 is unavailable in Tether and shows offline as a cloud device. None of my devices or smart home accessories or cameras have connectivity during these incidents.

Also seeing exactly the same problems described here since installing the FW
Firmware Version: 1.2.2 Build 20230511 rel.51682(5553)
Hardware Version: Archer AX55 v1.0
> 1. Who is your ISP, and what kind of WAN Connection Type you're using on the AX55?
Spectrum
> 2. Do you connect any EasyMesh or Onemesh extenders to the network? How many extenders? What are the models?
Yes, 2 RE315's. Devices seem to connect to these extenders instead of the AX55 when the problem happens
> 3. Do you remember the previous stable version of firmware for AX55? Is it the previous 1.1.8 version?
No, sorry...
> 4. How about the LED status on the AX55 when the internet drops on some wireless client devices?
All green except orange internet
>Can you login to the web management page of the AX55 when there is no internet on the wireless clients but it still shows connected to the network?
One time yes, I think so, but since then no

I have also been experiencing similar issues with my AX55 router dropping internet connection daily, if not more frequently; my responses to your questions are below.
1. My ISP is Verizon Fios, and we connect via a Dynamic IP connection.
2. I have a OneMesh network with 2 RE300 extenders. I don't currently know if it's just the devices connected to the extenders that are losing connectivity; I'll look into that next time it happens.
3. Our last stable firmware version was whatever the version was before this v.1.2.2 release.
4. The LED status does not seem to change at all when my devices lose internet connectivity; however, I am never able to log into the web management page when this happens.
I just want to say that I'm very disappointed in TP-LINK for letting this happen. I chose to purchase the Archer AX55 router 1 year ago, specifically to avoid internet connectivity issues, and look where we are now! Is it time to start looking at one of TP-LINK's competitors for solutions to my home networking needs?

@Darnwall2000 Already got rid of mine and replaced it with a Unifi Dream Router. It costs more, I think $199, but it is so much better in every way. Excellent built in security features, traffic identification and my Wi-Fi is faster than I was ever able to get with the TP-Link. The traffic identification is extremely detailed. It tells you apps used per device and how much data each app is using. They just updated the network app today and it allows you to block traffic from specific countries. Far superior product.

1. Who is your ISP, and what kind of WAN Connection Type you're using on the AX55?
ISP: Comcast
WAN Connection Type: Dynamic IP
2. Do you connect any EasyMesh or Onemesh extenders to the network? How many extenders? What are the models?
Note: If there are EasyMesh or Onemesh extenders in the network, please verify if the devices are connected to the AX55 wireless network or connected to the extenders' when they drop the internet.
Connect to EasyMesh or Onemesh extenders: no
There is a connection to a TL-WA3001 and two Airport Extremes.
3. Do you remember the previous stable version of firmware for AX55? Is it the previous 1.1.8 version?
Previous Firmware Version: 1.1.7 Build 20230213 rel.74634(5553)
4. How about the LED status on the AX55 when the internet drops on some wireless client devices? Can you login to the web management page of the AX55 when there is no internet on the wireless clients but it still shows connected to the network?
Power light orange. Didn’t try to log in.
Since installing 1.2.2 Build 20230511 rel.51682(5553) we have had two major interruptions in internet access, one on 5/24/2023 and another 6/3/2023.
Notes from the interruption on 5/24/2023…
The AX55 lost its configuration. It prompted a client device for a new admin password as if the unit was newly activated. We needed to reconfigure the unit including wifi SSIDs and passwords and VPN.
Internet access was lost to both ethernet and wifi connected devices.
Notes from the interruption on 6/3/2023…
Internet access was lost to ethernet and wifi connected devices except one ethernet device continued to have access.
The system log was very strange. The log showed entries starting from the reboot on 6/3/2023. It also show entries from 5/11/2023 but no entries between the two dates. (We will send the log upon request.)
Prior to this interruption the AX55 failed to show connected devices even though those devices were connected and functioning properly.

@Kevin_Z Same issue here!
I have updated the AX55 v.1.0 to firmware 1.2.2 Build 20230511 rel.51682(5553) some weeks ago and I'm having tons of problems with Wi-Fi connectivity.
I use it as my main router, to which 2 more AP are connected. Sometimes the Wi-Fi just stops working, while the others AP work fine. I have also noticed a drop in internet speeds that are not related to ISP problems.
When I reboot the router, it works fine for a few hours (although the drop in wireless speeds mentioned above still occurs), but then it starts crashing again. It is really frustrating.
