Model: Deco M3
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.5.6 Build 20221229 Rel. 72252

Satellites are M3W and firmware is 1.0.7 Build 20210106 Rel. 65893.

Over the last week or so it seems that nothing is connecting to my satellite Decos and everything is connecting to my main Deco. This is causing some connectivity issues with devices that are further away from the main Deco.

I have rebooted all of the Decos multiple times. I have updated the firmware. I have tried resetting the satellites and reconnecting them to the network. I've basically done everything short of factory resetting everything. I'm hoping to avoid this.

Any other suggestions to try? Is this a known bug with the M3 and M3Ws?

Hi, welcome to the community.

The current firmware of Deco M3W does not support displaying connected clients.

Can I have some screenshots of the Deco APP that devices insisted on main Deco even though the current wireless signal is very weak? and May I know the model numbers of these clients?

It is also suggested to turn off "Mesh Technology" on these devices, then disconnect the wifi and connect again to see whether it would switch to the near M3W.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

@David-TP Thanks for the information! I went through a handful of clients this morning that should be connecting to the satellite Decos and they show they are connected to Unknown. Devices that are closer to the main Deco all show they are connected to it, so it would appear this is due to the firmware not listing the satellite Decos, as you mentioned.

This resolves my issue. Thanks for your help.
