Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.2

I recently purchased an Archer BE800 Router from Amazon. The label on the back of the router says I have Hardware Version 1.6 however, when I log into the router, the System status screen says I have hardware version 1.0.

 

1. How do I determine which hardware version I actually have?

 

2. If it turns out that I have version 1.0 should I immediately return the router and re-order it hoping to receive version 1.6?

Hi, Thank you very much for your time and patience.

V1.6 is also V1 and you could check the actual hardware version on the product label at the bottom of BE800.

V1 includes V1.6 and V1.8 which are usually seen on the hardware, but on the software status page, they often show up as V1.

Thanks for your reply. I want to make sure I’m understanding you. I’m new to TP-Link and apparently “hardware version” means something different at TP-Link than at other companies whose products I’ve used.

 

For the BE800 router, what exactly is the difference between hardware version V1, V1.6 and V1.8?

0.6 or 0.8 is often used to distinguish the place of production.
