I'd like to put a mesh device outdoors, but isn't this a gigantic security risk?  Couldn't someone simply walk up, jack in with a cable, and be on my LAN?

To prevent this, can I used Wi-Fi backhaul and can these ports be disabled?

  @calvin14

Hi, Welcome to the community.

It is a very good question and Deco X50-Outdoor also supports Wi-Fi Backhaul to the nearest Deco unit.

Currently, the possible workaround would be to enable IPTV/VLAN for these two Ethernet ports on the Deco X50-outdoor so that computers are unable to get internet or IP addresses directly from these two ports.

I will also add it to the feature request list and will report to the engineers for further improvement.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
