Deco X80-5G Firmware Bug
Updated firmware on X80-5G to 1.0.3 Build 20230802 Rel. 180 and after 3-4 hours the IPV4 settings reset to null. Even switching between manual and auto, after a few hours the connection is gone. To get the connection working again, I have to enter in the primary DNS again. Reboot does not help. Previous firmware version had no issues

Hi, welcome to the community.
Do you change the DNS under Deco APP>More>Advanced>DHCP>Primary DNS? Did you use the DNS server provided by the ISP?
I will report this issue to the engineers first and check whether there will be similar feedback later.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi,
I change it by Deco App> More> Internet Connection > IPv4 Connection > DNS Address.
I have tried ISP DNS as well as Google and Cloudflare.
Still after 4 hours the connection drops.
If you could please provide the previous firmware version in the meantime because this bug is very annoying

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply.
Do you set Deco X80-5G in wireless router mode, instead of 4G/5G router mode?
For Deco X80-5G, there are two versions: a general EU version and a customized version for Vodafone which are printed on the product label.
The firmware for an ISP-customized modem usually would not be uploaded to the official websites.
Could you please help me check whether you have the general EU version or the NZ-V version? And do you still remember the previous firmware version?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Hi,
It's set in Wi-Fi Router Mode. It will be the NZ version. I tried to upload the latest EU version but it fails. I believe the previous version was 1.0.0 Build 20210913 Rel. 66883
Thanks

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
Since it is a customized version for local internet service providers, Its firmware would not be uploaded to the official sites and there hasn't been a download link available.
Users would need to report this issue to the ISP first and ask for further assistance on whether to get a new version upgrade or a backup of the old firmware version.
Best regards.

Hi,
Deco app prompted the update and has caused the problem. Can you please advise why other firmware can not be uploded to this router to fix the issue? The EU version does not work? Any firmware version should work with this router correct?
ISP no longer supports this router and such no help available from them.
