Deco Router's Can't Connect to Internet While Modem Works Fine
I arrived home from work yesterday to see that my router's light was red (which I know to mean the WiFi is out). I first checked the modem and it was working properly (I hardwired into it from my computer and turned off my WiFi). I rebooted the router about 3 times, each time the light returning to red.
I then deleted the entire network, reset the router & created the network again. Once the process was ready to connect my phone to the WiFi, it the light went straight to red again.
I called support, deleted & re-created the network again. No dice.
She then tried to use access point & rebooted the router, no dice again.
At this point, I was starving and had to end the call to eat something.
Since it seemed like that router was desinted for failure, I dig up my other mesh network router and repeated my initial process.
Straight to red again...
Has this happened to anyone? I really can't figure out what's going on and my customer support rep seemed incredibly suprised that her solutions weren't working.
