About to install a BE33000 to replace an older Orbi system with a failing mesh system.  I have a 1g fiber optic going to an ATT router.

One BE95 unit (the base unit) will be connected via CAT5 cable to the ATT router.  Each of the two BE95 satellites will be connected to the base unit via CAT5 cable (backhauled).

 My questions:

1) To what port on the tp-link base unit should I connect the incoming internet feed from the ATT router?

2) From what port on the tp-link base unit should I connect the 2 CAT5 cables going to the satellites? and

3) Into what port on the satellites should the CAT5 cable from the base unit be connected.=?

Best to all this new year.

  @Edouardo

Hi, welcome to the community.

On the BE95, the Ethernet ports are 1× 10 Gbps+2× 2.5 Gbps. For the CAT5 cable, the speed is only up to 1Gbps. Maybe you could consider using the CAT6E/7.

Generally, It doesn't matter which one goes to the cable modem and satellite Deco BE95 units. They all would work properly.

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @Edouardo

Probably best to connect the gateway to one of the 2.5 GbE ports, then each of the satellites to the 2 10 GbE ports, 10 GE to 10 GE...

  @Edouardo What are the specifications of the ports on the ATT router?  1, 2.5, 10 Gbps?

It is optimal to interconnect ports having same speeds.
