Model: Archer AX55
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: TP-Link Model AX3000 - Archer AX55 V1.60

tp-link app "Tether" shows some of my devices as "OFFLINE" after ENABLING ACCESS CONTROL. Why is this happening? I also have IP & MAC Binding enabled but that doesn't appear to cause the problem when I test it by enabling or disabling it.

When I DISABLE "Access Control" using the configuration software for my TP-Link Model AX3000 - Archer AX55 - V1.60 using my PC browser I CAN see ALL of my devices as "Online Clients" when I start up the "Tether" app on my Apple iPhone 12 with the latest version of IOS.

When I ENABLE "Access Control" I CANNOT see all of my devices. My Wifi printer, my Wifi camera and my Wifi portable air conditioner immediately show up as "Offline" on the Tether app on my Apple iPhone 12.

Is this a "KNOWN ISSUE" for tp-link in their "Knowledge Base" or this tp-link Community forum?

Is there something I can do to fix this without having to disable "Access Control"?

Is somebody at tp-link working on this issue? Can somebody at tp-link let the software engineers who designed the TP-Link Model AX3000 - Archer AX55 - V1.60 know about this so they can fix it so it will always show ALL of my devices as "Online Clients" when I use the Tether app on my iPhone or iPad?

Thanks for you help.

What's the version of your Tether app and the FW version of your AX55 ?

Make sure that you have updated these to their latest versions.

@terziyski  Thanks for replying to my issue. As you requested ...

Hardware on sticker on bottom of my tp-link router:

Model: Archer AX55(US) Ver: 1 .6
S/N: Y2380F5001740

As shown on the web browser interface for tp-link:

Online Update

Firmware Version
1.3.2 Build 20240325 rel.56896(5553)      - this is the latest version. I just did "Check for Updates".
Hardware Version
Archer AX55 v1.0

As shown on the Tether app under App Settings/About using ... with my iPhone 12 with IOS 17.4.1
Tether version: 4.5.11 (Build 502)      - this is the latest version. I just did "Check for Update" on the Tether app.

Could you escalate this issue to other departments if necessary? To resolve this issue, maybe tp-link software developers can do a new Archer AX55 v1.0 firmware version update and/or a new IOS update for the Tether app?  Is there something like a software configuration I need to do on my end to fix this?

As I mentioned before, enabling/disabling "Access Control" is the root cause of the problem. I want to keep "Access Control" ENABLED all the time and still be able to see ALL of the devices on my network.

When I DISABLE "Access Control" using the PC browser web interface configuration software I CAN see ALL of my devices as "Online Clients" when I start up the "Tether" app on my Apple iPhone 12 with the latest version of IOS.

When I ENABLE "Access Control" I CANNOT see all of my devices. My Wifi printer, my Wifi camera and my Wifi portable air conditioner immediately show up as "OFFLINE" on the Tether app on my Apple iPhone 12. I can only see my 4 Apple devices and my Windows PC.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I am not a TP-Link employee.

You're with the latest FW and tether app releases.

What you can do:

Backup the AX55 configuration - details.

Reset the AX55 to its factory defaults and make only basic configuration for access control (only one of the problematic devices),wireless settings, LAN settings, etc.

Test the AX55 behaviour.

If the issue persists restrore the AX55 configuration from its backup and contact your local support with the issue details for assistance.
