Model: Deco BE85
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.18 Build 20240409 Rel. 41111

I have a three-unit BE85 setup, with the WiFi set up with:
Main network (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz on same SSID)
MLO network (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz combined on separate SSID from main)
IoT network (2.4 GHz only)

I understand fully that the IoT network is slower, being that it's only an 802.11ax network, instead of an 802.11be. But it is *horribly* slow. And it has frequent drop-outs, lasting minutes at a time. I don't mind my IoT network being "not full speed" (my WiFi 7 computer can get my full internet speed of 1.2 Gbps just fine, my IoT doesn't need that,) but it shouldn't have dropouts. And it should be faster than 15 Mbps. Especially since the IoT network connects at 300Mbps+ (Yes, I know that's theoretical and will never be reached, but it should get more than 5% of the connection speed!)

My area isn't densely populated with WiFi network, I only see two 2.4 GHz networks other than my own from neighbors.

Anyone have any hints on how to make the IoT better?

Update, to show just how bad the IoT network is, here's a speed test purely internal to my network using the tool iperf:

I have a server (Mac mini) connected to one Deco via 10Gbit Ethernet. When I do this test via another machine connected via 10Gbit Ethernet, I get ~9.2 Gbits/sec, which is about right. When I do this test connected via the Wi-Fi 7 MLO network, I get about 1.5 Gbits/sec, which feels a touch slow, but maybe Windows 7's MLO support isn't fully baked yet (Yes, I'm on the beta of Windows 11 24H2 that has MLO support.) But when I connect to the IoT network, I get these huge dropouts and slow speeds. And yes, my actual WiFi signal is strong.

Having not received any reply in months, I eventually gave up and just used my old other-brand WiFi 5 router as my IoT network. I disabled the Deco IoT network, and put my old router up in pure Access Point mode with the same network name+password, and IoT devices are now perfectly reliable, getting "maximum speed that could be expected on WiFi 5."

Still disappointed that the Deco can't reliably handle the IoT, I would have preferred to *NOT* have two separate routers.

@CharonPDX Yeah manz... I did the same too. The iOT by Tp-link can't even reach 8mbps... I used my old XiaoMi setup to run the iOT stuff instead.
