BE11000 ethernet port keeps crapping out. Need full power reboot to get back online
I bought this BE11000 3-pack from Costco a few weeks back. Very nice kit and easy setup. Overall running pretty stable, but 3 times now over the past couple weeks, one of the ethernet ports locks or freezes up or something. I first part swapped the ethernet cables as well as the device connected to it, but then figured it was the actual Deco port. As a last resort, I pulled the power plug on the Deco, waited 20 sec, and plugged back in. After reboot, good as new.
I have the latest firmware of course and otherwise it works fine. Anyone else have this issue? Hopefully the hardware isn't a dud and something maybe a firmware update can fix. May go back to using just the older AXE5300 Deco's, but would like to use this newer model. Thanks!

I had the problem yet again. Swapped the node with another one from the 3-pack that was only being used wirelessly. So good so far for a few days. if indeed bad ports, I may need to return and exchange the set back to Costco (unless I can just swap the one node from the 3-pack out).

@stuman74 I am also experiencing. Switching Ethernet port fixes for a few hours then stops working. I've tried multiple cables. I exchanged my set at Costco with the fear of hardware issue and the new one that is only a few hours old
is doing the same thing! So annoying. thinking about returning altogether

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.
Is it mainly occurred to the main Deco BE11000? or randomly to any Deco units?
- Since there are 4 Ethernet ports on the BE11000, have you ever noticed which port keep crapping out?
I'd like to follow up on your case via email and ask the senior engineer for further assistance.
It is highly appreciated if you could update the email with more details you have observed that might be related to the current issue.
Wait for your reply and best regards.

@David-TP I've only used the Ethernet ports on what I setup as the main unit for both sets. On my first BE11000 set, it was happening to me on the third port from the top. When it stopped working I switched to the second port from the top. After a few hours, that port stopped working too and the third port started working again. I had connected a DLink Ethernet switch to these ports as well as an Apple TV. On my second BE11000 set, same issue with the third port. Then switched to the second port and it was working fine. Then the second port stopped working and third port works again. When I installed the second BE11000 set, none of my settings carried over from my previous system. I am using the latest
firmware. 1.0.5 Build 20240521 Rel. 64384

To follow up, I have still had the issue happen 2 times over the past couple months. Both times I fixed it by pulling the power cord on the parent node (that is connected to the cable modem and feeds the other wired node as well as other ethernet devices) and rebooted. After a couple minutes back to normal.
But like the others have also noted, when it stops on one node, it's dead on the others as well either immediately or within a few minutes. Doesn't matter if a port that feeds a switch, another wired backend child node, or directly to my Apple TV that is ethernet connected to the parent node.

Actually the disconnect on my PCs that are wired to Ethernet are only resolved by rebooting the Deco devices.

My units are a week old. They are scheduled tor reboot at 6am this morning and after reboot it stopped the port from working again. My home cameras stopped recording at 6 and didn't start again until I discovered the port was down hours later. Very frustrating
