Why have they become so horrible? I have had the same setup, equiptment and isp's for a few years. AX21 and a re315 via Spectrum and a pace5268a and re315 via ATT. About 63 devices. Suddenly for about 4 months both re315's drop intetnet. For hours and days. What is the issue. Like I said no changes.
That is strange.
Do both drop at the same time?
I would suspect the router's WIFI signal from the router since both extenders have issues and your other non extended devices are okay.
I would do the usual things looking for poor WIFI signal. Maybe someone near by is using the same channel as your backhaul channel.
Do not rule out one of your devices causing some issue, one that is connected to the router would be most likely.

1. Are the Spectrum and AT&T services in the same home?
(If so, how are each of the routers/gateways connected and configured?)
2. Do they share the same or different Wi-Fi network names (SSIDs)?
3. Do their Wi-Fi signals share the same channels?
4. How are the extenders set up within your network?
