BE63 not issuing IP address'?
I picked up this mesh kit from Amazon during Prime day... and often have to reboot it because it stops issuing IP address' to devices in the house via WiFi, hardwired ethernet *always* works.
This happens on iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.
Sometimes going into the Deco app and having it "fix interference" on the WiFi channels will restore it issuing IP's on 5GHz, but 6GHz remains unable to connect on the WiFi 6e/7 devices. I've tried changing channel size/width, disabling 6GHz, etc.. nothing seems to fix the problem of it just deciding to not issue an IP.
the 2.4GHz IoT network always seems to work though.... and when I put the old WiFi 6 router back in play, it has zero issues giving IP's for days on end (I left it for 10 days a week ago and zero issues the entire time, it's a cheap tp-link ax1200)
The satellite unit is hardwired directly to the main BE63, and removing it from the network makes zero difference.. I'm convinced there's a firmware bug that TP-Link needs to address as even turning off random MAC generation on the said devices does not fix the problem.
I've set the units to reboot daily at 7am, and they never actually reboot either. I have to physically unplug them to get a reboot to happen even after a hard reset on both the main/satellite units.
I'm just curious if TP-Link plans to address these firmware issues sooner than later, or am I better off just leaving my old ax1200 router in place and selling these things? I know WIFi 7 is in it's infancy but these are by far the buggiest routers i've had in 20yrs of using WiFi. I only picked these up as they have 2.5Gbps ports and I've got 1500/50 from my cable operator.. but the flakiness is worth just having 940/50 throughput and not getting the full speed i'm paying for tbh.
