  @Jinja,

Our team is still looking at news for compatability and it is expected that the feature will make its way to models beyond Wi-Fi 7 with future firmware releases, however we do not know when this will be or what specific hardware models will receive the feature. This is just the initial release of the feature, and I can imagine that it may take slightly longer than usual to see an expanded release since it changes such a fundamental part of the network - but we will have to wait and see.

Our team will provide an update when we see the feature expanded to additional models

Also for your zigbee network, you might try changing your zigbee channel, as much of a pain it is. When I changed the channels of my Zigbee network for my Home Assistant, I saw a comical improvement in the range and latency of my ZigBee devices, with no changes made to my Wi-Fi.

  @Ryan Hey

When can we expect the feature for the DECO BE65 v1? The auto selection is frustrating because it makes my Zigbee devices unstable.

@Riley_S   @Ryan

I just got a pack of Deco BE63 and I replaced it to be the main router. So the channel selection only works for main Wifi only and not for IoT network (2.4Ghz band)? Am I missing something here? Thanks.

Edited: What I meant is if I use separate SSIDs for main wifi and IoT wifi feature, and main wifi - 5Ghz band only while IoT - 2.4Ghz band, then there is only option to change channel for main wifi (2nd pic), the IoT network doesn't have this feature. This kinda defeats the whole purpose of Wifi channel selection because more wifi congestions happen on IoT 2.4Ghz network. I was so excited :(.

Anyways, my temporary workaround is disable IoT network and set my IoT's SSID & password to be the main Wifi so that I can change channel on that. Also for my old main Wifi on 5Ghz, I have to create another MLO network (5Ghz & 6Ghz) for it, this though don't have wifi channel selection either. Hopefully the IoT network will be added this new feature.

  @Espress0-0

If you select a 2.4Ghz channel for the main network, it will apply as well to the IOT network.  The Deco uses a single channel for each band, for all networks.

I suggest trying temporarely activating the 2.4 band for the main network, in order to select a channel for it, and see if the Deco will continue using that channel (for the IOT network) after disabling the 2.4 band for the main network.

  @yves_b Thank you, that actually works and it is a better approach than mine. I followed your suggestion and saw that IoT network's channel also changed. It's still not intuitive to have to add 2.4Ghz band to main Wifi but hopefully we will see some improvements on that.

One more note for everyone, don't enable Fast roaming when mixing this model (BE63) and other lower ends models (X55/X50), it crashed my network completely and have to reset everything.
