  @Ryan will this be rolled out to deco BE25? I would love to enable 240MHz channels in the MLO network because for the main network I have some legacy devices like iPhone 13 Pro Max and PCs.

  @Ryan Up top only shows BE85 and BE63.  Please update I almost stopped reading but luckily scrolled down to see relevant BE95...

@fab1anch0

Unfortunately, I don't have any specifics that I can share about whether or when the feature will be rolled out to the BE25. Our developers are actively working to broaden the list of models receiving this feature. It is a popular feature request, and we are excited to see it rapidly rolling out to more models.

As always, our team will add newly supported models to the list as we become aware.

@jzchen

I updated the original post to bring the list of supported Deco models to the forefront. Thanks!

  @Ryan

Is this firmware update available for all regions? Would I be able to use this firmware in EU?

  @RoBoy

I would recommend checking the firmware page for your product on your region's TP-Link website. Since versions may vary between regions, firmware specified for different regions will not be compatible.

  @Ryan When will this be feature be added for the XE5300? Is there a beta firmware I could try out? I'm having regular disconnections on my IOT security camera due to 2.4ghz network congestion.

  @Raymdl You need to flag support and almost pester them if you want an answer. They seem to have forgotten these boards exist and focus on the Reddit.

  @rosey99 If you're still looking at this feature, it apparently was added to the latest 1.1.0 firmware for the BE63 v1.6 (my HW revision, and the only one for the BE63 other than v2.6); I'm surprised I didn't set it to a narrower 2.4 GHz channel when it came out as I always hated it taking up 40 MHz on 2.4 GHz by default. (Almost everyone says the band is too crowded in the U.S. for anything wider than 20 MHz in the usual channels 1/6/11.) I believe the BE63, basically a just slightly limited BE65 (speed rating BE10000, instead of BE11000 for the BE65 except where limited by local government mandates), is only sold in the U.S. where I am; it's available on the TP-Link US support page as well as OTA. (OP, can you update the first post?)

Edit: Limiting this update to U.S.-focused models, at least in the beginning, may be why the only BE63/65 models to get the update thus far are the BE63 (U.S. general market version), BE11000 (U.S. Costco version of the original BE65), and BE65 Pro (IIRC also available in other countries but sold only at Best Buy in the U.S.)

  @RBBrittain

Thanks!  Through a support ticket I was able to get access to a firmware with that enabled channel selection in January.  Since then it has helped to some degree with my device 'drops' but has not solved it completely. I'll still get a few an hour, but it's better than dozens an hour. There has to be some major congestion in my neighborhood where the channels are all just totally over-run because even when I switch to a channel that seems good, a few days later it's a mess again and I have device leave and join my network. Not sure if something is interfering inside my house or a neighbor is causing the issue. I've turned just about everything off one by one over the last year for a day and have not been able to find the culprit. That said, I have not noticed an actual problem with any device besides my aquarium controller which loses connection with its devices a few times a week. That use to be a few times an hour so it's also much better when I hand pick a channel.

  @rosey99 That may have been the beta of 1.1.0, which has an implied release date of February. Have you tried a 20 MHz channel instead of 40 MHz, or perhaps vice versa? Or moving your 2.4 GHz devices to the arguably misnamed "guest" or "IoT" networks which are 2.4 GHz only? ("IoT" doesn't isolate IoT devices from the rest of your network as was once recommended of them; "guest" does.) Reportedly a lot of disconnection issues with 2.4 GHz IoT devices are because routers keep trying to move them to a 5 GHz band they do not support; this is especially a problem with Wi-Fi 6 & higher. (I haven't experienced it myself, but many others have.) A 2.4 GHz-only SSID like "guest" or "IoT" stops that from happening.
