Bandwidth Limited
I just upgraded from AT&T 1GB Fiber to Sonic 10GB Fiber. The Sonic router is plugged into the dedicated Deco 10GB RJ45 port and the SFP+ is pluged into a Dell N1548P switch with a fiber channel cable. That leaves 3 SFP+ ports for other devices. So we put a TP-Link TX401 10GB Ethernet card into a computer and we can see that everything is connected at 10GB. But the speed tests are consistently 1GB. Everything is updated to the latest; drivers, firmware, etc. Then I see in the QOS page, when QOS is enabled that bandwidth is limited to 1000 Mbps and does not allow for an increase. Even with QOS disabled, I can't see anything over 1GB. Yeah, I know, 1GB should be enough and the 10GB is shared between all devices. But hey, if I pay for 10GB, I want to see a speed test that gives me 10GB. And when I run a speed test from the Deco, I get a fairly consistent 8.x. (see screenshot) You can also see in the screen shot that I am connected at 2882 Mbps over WiFi 7 and I get test speeds of 500 +-.
Am I missing something or is the bandwidth actually limited by the Deco to 1GB?
I will also note that the current BE85 is not my first or only Deco. I started with the M5 and have upgraded a few times along the way. I also have 3 x XE75 Pro's and 1 x XE75 in my mesh network. Each upgrade has gone as smooth as could be. But could there be a legacy setting left over from the original M5 that does not allow anything faster?
