Hi there - sorry for the noob question, but I would like to understand the best configurarion method for the following:

I have optical fiber 5gb internet coming in from the street into the ONT. I have a TP-Link TL-SX1008 | 8 Port 10G/Multi-Gig switch that connects the ethernet from the ONT to 7 ethernet ports in different rooms across the house.

Initially, I had the Main Deco (in Router mode) connected to one of these ports with the other units connected over WiFi (no backhaul). This works. However, as soon as I use any of the wired ethernet ports, the Main Deco drops connection and needs a reboot to work. Clearly this is not ideal and possibly expected.

What would be the best configuration to make it all work together well such that I can have both WiFi and wired connections? ONT > Main Deco > Switch > Decos as Access Points?  Would that still allow me to also use the othwr Ethernet ports wired? Something else?

Thanks so much in advance!

@SeoRocker As you observed, in Router mode, the main Deco cannot see any satellite Deco on the Ethernet port used for the connection to Internet.  One Ethernet port of the main Deco must be dedicated to the connection to Internet.

"ONT > Main Deco > Switch > Satellite Decos" is perfectly valid, and other devices can be wired into the switch or into any of the Decos.

You can also wire a satellite Deco into another Deco.
